EPIC, which stands for Eternally Prepared in Christ, began as the theme for one of our Vacation Bible School programs. The goal of that year’s VBS was to help every young person understand that Jesus came to save us from our sinful nature, offering us the gift of eternal life with Him in Heaven.

 

Several years later, as our youth group brainstormed a name, EPIC was suggested and quickly embraced as the perfect choice. The teen Sunday School room soon became known as the EPIC Room, where our youth gather for choir practice, Bible study, devotions, games, and fellowship. EPIC has become a time of fun, Biblical study, and spiritual growth.

 

Over the years, EPIC has evolved from solely choir practice into a dynamic time for teenagers and young adults to prepare devotions and encourage one another in their walk with Christ. Currently, EPIC is focusing on a study of the Old Testament, diving deep into its major themes and truths to help all of us understand its importance in our faith journey. This study has been enriching, both Biblically and spiritually, and is a valuable learning experience for all participants, whether new to church or lifelong members.
